HOUSEWIFE LIFE.

For the last week and a half I have been living the housewife life, and I have to say I am loving it. I kind of hate to admit that, but it's sort of amazing. Here's what a typical day looks like for me (at least so far):

9 -12:00   Wake up, usually around 9:30, make my way downstairs and see Ben off (I know this is an indulgence- and I will continue to indulge because soon I'll be at work by 8); Next comes the coffee, ahhhhh, its so good. Then sometimes a second cup with a side of snuggling with Molly, and breakfast. Afterwards, I'll go for a run and stretch.

Molly snuggles.

12-1:30   Lunch time! and a little me time. I'll browse Pinterest, or my favorite design blogs or watch the latest episode of Veep. This time can be dangerous- the other day I found myself watching a home birth on tv that made me cry. That's when I knew it was time to move onto my next step.

1:30-2:30 I take Molly on a walk or to the dog park- she has waaaaay too much energy. Once I get back into any kind of shape I'm going to start taking her on my morning run as well. I just can't handle sucking wind to my inevitable death and trying to keep her from chasing squirrels at the same time right now.

2:30-5:00  Cleaning/errands- rotating depending on what needs to get done. I used to HATE cleaning. I've learned that what I really hated was coming home after working all day and having to clean. Life can be amazing when you have always a steady stream of clean underwear. Also, never underestimate how clean a vacuumed carpet can make a room look- more on my love affair with our ancient vacuum later.

My favorite housewife tools.

5 - 8:00  Start prepping for dinner & make it once Ben gets home! Then we eat, usually with a little friendly Jeopardy competition. And most nights we (thats right; he helps) try to take care of the dishes right afterwards. I also used to HATE making dinner. But the same applies as with the cleaning.

I'm loving being able to take care of our home and exercise on a daily basis. This time really is a blessing and I'll miss it when its gone.
